GTKB Ganz Transelektro Vehicle Devices Ltd from Hungary, proudly presents the latest development of our company, the new AR16Bp Pneumatic Current Collector for ZIU trolley buses.

This is a 300000 BTU Kelley Hot Shot kerosene fired construction heater that I picked up for $30. From what I’ve found out, this heater dates from about the 1950′s. Specs of the heater: 300000 BTU/hr 2.25GPH @ 100 PSI fuel usage Fuel tank capacity – 36 gal. Motor – 1/3 HP GE Ball bearing induction motor Pump – Sundstrand Nozzle – Sid Harvey 2.00 60 degree Ignition – Standard Franceformer ignition transformer The motor and pump needed rebuilt, and I still need to get a fan blade for it, but I just wanted to make sure everything worked before I rewired everything. The way it is supposed to be hooked up, is the ignition transformer and solenoid valve run through the pressure switch, which is run through the thermostat. The motor/pump is connected to the main switch and runs constantly. I think the problem currently is for one thing there is no fan, so the flame pretty much is choking itself out, and there is a pressure drop when the valve is opened (the clicking heard right after the flame starts is the pressure switch kicking in and out). The heater is rated to operate at 100 PSI. I had it set at 100 PSI with a closed valve, so the operating pressure is probably lower (I should’ve watched the pressure gauge when I flipped the switch…)

Shiva the Various Fruits Cannon destroys two desktop computers. Shiva is an 11ft long coaxial pneumatic potato cannon. The dump mechanism is a 6in long internal piston with external solenoid valve for initiation. The compression chamber is 4gal in volume. The best projectile was found to be limes. Potatoes are always a good choice too. A piece of square angle iron was used as a penetrator as can be seen in some of the scenes. Potato cannon built by David Collins and Mike Snow.
